Library Technology & Facilities: Saving Your Work

Information about technology and facilities in the libraries.

Printing

The library provides free printing for students to print current class assignments.

Print jobs can only be sent from library computers; at this time, we cannot offer wireless printing. To transfer your work from a laptop or mobile device, save your files and email them to yourself as attachments, save them on a USB drive, or save them to the cloud.

Color Printing

Color printing is currently available by request. To print a document in color, send a copy of the file as an attachment to circdesk@atlantic.edu. The Circulation Desk is the main service point in each library. After sending the file, visit the Circulation Desk and ask a staff member to print your document.

This service is only available to current students, faculty and staff of Atlantic County Community College, and is reserved for coursework.

Saving to the Cloud

Google Drive

Your Atlantic Cape (Buccaneer) email account also includes access to Google Drive and the Google Suite of online programs. Save your files on Google Drive for convenient access.

Scanning

All three libraries are equipped with flatbed scanners that will accommodate 8.5x11" paper.

In Mays Landing, the scanners are located in the upper level computer lab.

In Atlantic City, the scanner is located at the first machine at the end of the row near the Circulation desk.

In Cape May, the scanner is located at the first machine on the right, near the Circulation desk.

Copying

Students are encouraged to use our scanners to replicate printed documents. Documents copied on a scanner can be

  • printed.
  • saved to a USB drive or to the cloud.
  • emailed as an attachment.

  • If you are saving to the local hard drive and emailing the document to yourself, check to make sure the attachment is in the message. Open it to make sure it works.
