Apps for Library Users
The following apps will enhance your experience using the library's online resources.
Adobe Digital Editions (ebook reader)
To use Ebsco eBooks on a desktop or laptop computer, you need to have the Adobe Digital Editions app installed.
Ebsco Mobile App (easy access to ebooks and search tools)
Many of the libraries' online resources, including over 200,000 ebooks, come to us through the vendor Ebsco. Add their mobile app to your phone, Ipad, or Android tablet to download ebooks (no need for an Adobe account or Digital Editions), or to search many of Atlantic Cape's databases for articles. The search capabilities of Ebsco Mobile are limited by comparison with the complete search system, but enhancements are in the works, and using ebooks is easy. To limit your search to ebooks, filter by content type.
Adobe Acrobat Reader (PDF reader)
If you do a lot of your work on a mobile device, make sure you have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, so that you can open full-text files.
Films on Demand App (streaming video)
Set up an account and download the app for an optimal mobile experience.
Apps available for news, cooking, audio (iOS only), and games.
Enhance your mobile experience with the app. You will need to sign up for your account before you can download the app.

MyEbsco (books and articles)
Save items from results to personal folders for future use; add notes. Create folders for projects Account required to download ebooks for off-line reading.
ProQuest: My Research Account (science research)
Save items from results to personal folders for future use; add notes. Create folders for projects. Set up alerts for topics of interest, set preferences.
NewsBank
Create a personal folder. Start with the current session folder in any Newsbank product to set up an account.
Britannica Academic My Research (general encyclopedia)
Save articles, media, and other sources for quick access later.
My Oxford English Dictionary (meaning and history of words in English)
Personal profile allows you to save entries and searches, manage folders of saved items, and set your personal preferences.
Films On Demand (streaming video)
Personal profile enables you to stream video to your mobile device (download the app), save content for future use, clip segments, and personalize settings.
Adobe (ebook reader support and computer graphics)
Adobe accounts are necessary for downloading Ebsco eBooks to desktop or laptop computers. Get help creating your Adobe ID.
