The Atlantic Cape Community College Libraries grant borrowing privileges to Atlantic Cape and Rutgers at Atlantic Cape students, faculty, and staff, as well as Atlantic County and Cape May County residents. Library users must abide by the guidelines set forth by the College.
Students, faculty and staff must present a valid college ID in order to borrow library materials. Atlantic County residents (community borrowers) must provide a valid photo state-issued ID. Anyone borrowing materials must complete a Library User Agreement.
There is not a limit to the number of materials that can be borrowed.
Items can be renewed twice if they are not on hold for someone else, and the user’s library card is in good standing. Interlibrary loan items may not be able to be renewed.
Holds for materials can be placed with a library card that is in good standing. When the item is available, a phone call or email will be sent with pick up information.
Borrowers are responsible for the proper use and timely return of the library materials that they have checked out. The college libraries do not charge fees for late materials. However, fees will be assessed for damaged or lost material. Borrowers are encouraged to replace the item and should speak to a librarian for assistance.
If materials checked out by students are lost, damaged, or not returned by the due date, library and college privileges will be suspended until all materials are returned or replaced. This may include placing a hold on the Atlantic Cape student account which will prevent registration for classes until the hold is removed.
If materials checked out by faculty and staff are lost, damaged, or not returned by the due date, library privileges will be suspended until all materials are returned or replaced.
If materials checked out by community members are lost, damaged, or not returned by the due date, privileges will be suspended and the Atlantic County Library System will charge the community member.
