South Jersey Holocaust Survivor Memoirs

On February 20th, 2013, the library participated in a program where four local Holocaust survivors presented signed copies of their memoirs to libraries throughout the county through The Sara & Sam Schoffer Holocaust Research Center at Stockton College. The William Spangler Library has additional copies available at each campus. 

The survivors pictured below are Donald Berkman, Nella Juffe, Joseph Rosenberg, and Sidney Simon.

The Sam Azeez Museum of Woodbine Heritage

The Museum is a designated teaching center for the NJ Commission on Holocaust Education. The Sam Azeez Museum of Woodbine Heritage celebrates the history of the wave of immigration at the end of the 19th century that brought Russian Jewish settlers to the area known as Woodbine to be developed as an agricultural colony under the auspices of the Baron de Hirsch Fund
