What's a Scholarly, Peer Reviewed Article?

For some assignments, a professor may ask you to find a scholarly journal article.

  • Scholarly journal articles are also called academic, peer-reviewed, or refereed and are based upon research conducted by the authors.
  • Professional magazines like SCRUBS, contain articles written by nurses but are not strictly research related.
