Comprehensive Handbook of Psychopathology by
The purpose of this handbook, originally published in 1984, was to provide a compreh- sive review of current clinical descriptions, research , and theories of psychopathology. Descriptive psychopathology is a ?eld that forms the foundation of clinical practice and research in clinical psychology, psychiatry, psychiatric social work, psychiatric nursing, and allied professions in mental health. Since the 1st edition, the editors have devised and updated a handbook to cover both general and speci?c topics in psychopathology that would be useful to researchers, practitioners, and graduate or other advanced students in the mental health and behavioral medicine professions. To implement this plan, we have very carefully chosen colleagues whom we respect for their expertise in particular ?elds. The field of feeding and eating disorders represents one of the most challenging areas in mental health, covering childhood, adolescent and adult manifestations of the disorders and requiring expertise in both the physical and psychological issues that can cause, maintain, and exacerbate these disorders. The scope of the book is an overview of all the feeding and eating disorders from "bench to bedside", incorporating recent changes introduced into the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5). The aim is to present one of the first complete overviews of the newly defined area of feeding and eating disorders with respect to genetics, biology and neuroscience through to theory and its application in developing clinical approaches to the prevention and treatment of feeding and eating disorders.

The PsycINFO database is the American Psychological Association’s (APA) renowned resource for abstracts of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books, and dissertations,. It is the largest resource devoted to peer-reviewed articles in behavioral science and mental health.
Included are citations and summaries dating as far back as the 1600s. Journal coverage dates from the 1800s to present and includes international material selected from around 2,400 periodicals in dozens of languages.

WebMD is a free online magazine/reference tool for patient education. Content is developed by journalists with specialized health training, and reviewed by qualified health professionals. A moderately reliable source for health information. - Brain and Behavior Research Foundation: ResearchThis foundation awards grants for research in mental illness. The Research Section of their site provides information about recent research projects.
