Do you want library materials, but you have no time to visit the library?
There’s a delivery service for that!
E-mail our collection management librarian (mdicamil@atlantic.edu) with citation information for the periodicals or books that you need. Also include your office location. Then, we will deliver the items to your office mailbox. If an item is not available in our collection, we will submit an Interlibrary Loan request on your behalf and deliver the item upon arrival. We also can pick-up items that need to be returned to the library - just send another email stating that you have returns, leave the items in your mailbox, and we will swing by to pick-up your items. You don’t have an office/mailbox? Tell us what classroom you teach in and the days and times of your course, and we can deliver the items to you prior to the start of your next class. (Deliveries occur Monday through Friday during library operating hours. Expect items in our collection to get to you within 48 hours. Items ordered through interlibrary loan may take seven to ten business days to arrive.)
Visit the circulation desk of any Atlantic Cape library. You'll need your college ID.
To borrow books, use reserve books, laptop computers or equipment in the library you will need to activate your library account. Your College ID becomes your library card, along with a PIN code that you will choose. Once your account is activated, you can borrow material from the Atlantic Cape Libraries, get material delivered from any of our partner libraries in the Atlantic County Library System, and much more.
You can also use your College ID to apply for a Community Account to borrow materials from Richard Stockton University, for a library card from the Atlantic City Free Public Library, and from the Atlantic County Library System and Cape May County libraries.
The library also circulates popular magazines
The library receives Cook's Illustrated, Bon Appetit, The Economist, National Geographic, Consumer Reports, Sky and Telescope, and many more. We also circulate the Chronicle of Higher Education and the Community College Journal. Stop by the library or send us an email and request delivery to your mailbox or classroom.
Use the library's catalogs to search our entire print and e-book collections. Can't find what you are looking for? Send us an email at library@atlantic.edu and include the title and author of the book you want to read. We will dive into our network of libraries spanning the entire U.S., and we will try to obtain a copy from another library. This is a FREE service for all Atlantic Cape faculty, staff, and students.
